Dhani Nallah Mangrove Nature Walkway

Some places are meant to be explored slowly, and Dhani Nallah Mangrove Nature Walkway is one of them. Hidden near Rangat in Middle Andaman, this peaceful wooden boardwalk takes you deep into a dense mangrove forest before opening onto a quiet, unspoiled beach. Instead of traffic and crowds, you’ll hear the sound of birds, rustling mangrove leaves, and the gentle movement of tidal water beneath the walkway.

Stretching for more than 700 metres, it is one of the longest mangrove boardwalks in India. As you walk through the forest, you’ll come across different species of mangroves, crabs, birds, and other wildlife that thrive in this unique ecosystem. At the end of the trail, you’re rewarded with Dhani Nallah Beach, a secluded stretch of coastline that also serves as a seasonal nesting site for Olive Ridley sea turtles. It’s a destination that offers a completely different side of the Andaman Islands—quiet, untouched, and close to nature.
